Topshop Treats

Topshop Treats

Topshop Treats by ambreengharshia featuring jacquard pants

1) Triangle Shard Drop Earrings - These are so awesome. I've only started getting into the whole neon trend in the past couple of months, which, I know is like a bazillion years after everyone else. I'm still playing it safe though, sticking with neon accessories rather than clothing. I think these would look great with any outfit, just to add that unexpected pop of colour. Hence, they are on the top of my ever-growing wish list.
2) Scratch Graffiti Midi Dress - I'm jumping on to the whole midi dress bandwagon a tad bit late aswell. Topshop have got lots and lots of midi dresses at the moment, in quite a large range of colours and patterns. If you're not big on patterns, they do some really nice solid colours which would look amazing paired with a slouchy knit. Because, hey, we are still in February people.
3) Adonis2 Cut Out Heavy Boots - Everybody and their mothers have these boots I think. Who cares though, when they look this bloody cool. I'm totally willing to blend in with crowd, for sake of these boots!
4) Jacquard Cigarette Trousers - I really, really like these trousers. They're a bright colour, and have a pattern of sorts but it's not in-your-face-omg-look-at-me. Hence, why I think I would wear them. I'm trying to justify why I would want to buy them, but I don't think I need to really. I mean, look at them! They're beautiful.
5) 3 Colour Block Shirt - The name says it all really. This is definitely not something I would go for, but I think it would make a really nice Spring/Summer addition to anybodies (including mine) wardrobe. I like how it has a half-sleeve, so convenient for summer! Not that we ever get a proper summer in England.
6) ABC Print Split Maxi Skirt - Yet another maxi I want to add to my collection. It's cool. Like uber cool. I also know that everybody will most probably be wearing it. I still don't care, I think that there's so many ways to style it, so it would be worth the money.
7) Cord Box Chain Collar - There's such a Spring feel to this necklace. It would look so good with an oversized white shirt, buttoned right up and this thrown on. Plus, it's neon!
8) Ready T-bar Buckle Sandals - Heels, heels, heels. I am so in love these. The fact that they are white and black is the main attraction for me. They would look so good with almost anything I think. They also have a burgundy and black pair!

This is the first time I've used Polyvore, I'm still trying to figure out how it works! Just thought I'd show you my favourite items from Topshop this week. I'm thinking of doing some for Zara, Miss Selfridge etc etc. Would you be interested? Let me know!

Have a great weekend!

Don't forget to make some art

Neil Gaiman

Photo overload. I know, I know. There was actually so many more pictures than this, I cut them down!
Anyway, I decided to do a post on one of my textiles units. This was actually the last unit, and I quite enjoyed it. I didn't make a beautiful garment at the end, but I still like my sketchbook and the samples I did do. Stitching can be therapeutic I think. It takes forever and a day though. I'm not the most amazing artist, so excuse my disgraceful drawings!

Yes: I am a dreamer

Oscar Wilde - The Critic as Artist

You might have wondered why the blog has started to go in a different direction since the new year. Or, your might not. I thought I'd explain anyway. The blog was supposed to be a diary, a digital documentation of us. I love doing outfit posts, it is honestly the thing that pushes me to experiment more and not fall back in the drudgery of life. I am still completely and utterly petrified of wearing something which I consider as being 'out of my comfort zone', but I think that  Impetuous Deeds has allowed both me and Irsa to be less afraid of wearing dark lipstick for 'no special reason' and walk around in ridiculous shoes just because we think they look good. I know that we're definitely not the most out there people in terms of our fashion choices, but every individual has their own personal battles. Recently, I've started falling out of love with the blog. I have this deep fear that I'm not interesting enough, or wear enough cool clothes. This all leads back to one question. Why on earth did we start a blog? We started it because we wanted to push ourselves, we're hardly the coolest or the most interesting kids on the block, but we figured that blogging would allow us to be us, and give us the confidence to wear whatever the hell we wanted. We live in such a judgemental society. You choose to wear platform heels during the day, and everybody decides to have an opinion. Why is she wearing those? They look stupid. She thinks she's better than us. No. That's really not it. I think I've finally realised that it really does not matter what people think, even if some of these people are 'friends'. I've learnt that I don't want to look like everybody else. Why would I want to walk around in chino's and toms just because you are? You'll be wondering what I'm really trying to say, well, what I'm really really trying to say is this; the blog is a reflection of us. Sometimes I get worried that people will not like our content etc etc etc. I've realised that I need to stop doing this! The blog is us. Me and Irsa, posting about random stuff, anything we like. It might not be to everyone's taste and I know we're not very consistent, but it's us. To those of you who do visit our little blog, thank you! It helps to know that people look at it now and again. Also, sorry about this ridiculously long winded post. I thought I'd just get it out there, seeing as I'm beginning to view this blog as my little diary!

Hope you're all well.

Love, and fairy dust too. I'm beginning to think everyone needs a good sprinkling of the fictious stuff.
