These are just a few photos a managed to take earlier, with the help of my little brother. You'll probably be able to tell which pictures he took, since they're quite rubbish. Sorry! Anyway, like Irsa said in the last post, we're going to try post more regularly which means we'll be posting separately more often. I need, need, need to buy a tripod as soon as humanely possible! Any ideas which one I should get and where from? 

My outfit today was pretty much thrown together in five minutes, and consisted solely of all the things that did not need to be ironed. The leggings are quite unusual and I've never really worn them before. I brought them in h&m earlier this year in Liverpool and Irsa got the same pair. Haha. The scarf is my favourite ever, it's from when I went to Turkey about three years ago. I also did some online shopping at asos last week and brought the above cat face jumper. I absolutely adore it! It's an oversized fit, and it's not too bulky so it's ideal for layering. The backpack was another asos buy, and I'm now hunting for one in black leather. 

P.S. meet my kitten, Pixie. We got her last week!

Where there's tea, theres hope - Aurthur W Pinero

We stopped off at a cute little cafe in the Northern Quarter today for a spot of Tuesday tea.

Getting settled into university is taking more time than expected, but there's nothing like vintage china and lemon grass tea to fix it.

We've realised that with our new timetables, arranging and meeting up for blog posts is getting difficult, and we would like to post more often than we are at the moment, so, we're planning on starting 'take over' weeks where i'll handle the blog with my posts only, for one week, and Ambreen will take over the next. What do you think ? Good idea ?

I almost forgot to post this weeks video.! 

 I'm thinking next week will be the last of the water theme,

so any suggestions for a new theme will be helpful.

Woah, another post already? Haha, it's because we feel super guilty because we haven't posted as regularly as we would have liked. All that aside, freshers week began on Monday. So we've both been at uni like every single day. I've had like a gazillion induction sessions (I'm exaggerating, I know!). The freshers fair was on Wednesday, and it was actually really good. The moment we got there, we had people giving us freebies! It was fun, but way too crowded. We also got two free mascaras. WIN! There was also a fashion society, which we are so joining when we get the chance. We discovered a new shop today on Tib Street, called Curiouser Curiouser (I think), its based around Alice in Wonderland. It was very cute! You should go visit if you get a chance. However, typical to Manchester weather, it has been raining every single day this week so far. So the quote above is just perfect I think. Hope your all well!

Hi, so sorry about the lack of posting, everything's just been really hectic for both myself and Ambreen these past couple of weeks. Anyway, we recently came up with an idea for something we've named 'Themed Wednesdays', and for the next few weeks the theme will be water. We're hoping that themed wednesdays will become a regular part of the blog. 

The video above is part of a collection of videos I did for my A Level Art controlled assessment, in which we were given 15 hours to complete our final piece (or pieces in my case) of work. Although 15 hours of exam time may seem like a nightmare, art exams don't really feel like exams at all (not in my college anyway).

My initial ideas started off when I began to explore the movement of tidal waves on beaches, which then prompted me to explore the movement of waves in a bath tub. However, as much fun as this was, I felt the videos weren't capturing the mood, or the feel I really wanted. My 'light bulb moment' came  when I was washing away my inks down the sink. The change in patterns and colours that occurred as they were being washed away got me daydreaming for a moment, and this was the exact effect I wanted my work to have on people. I'm hoping it has the same effect on you! (Please do let me know your thoughts, as I would love feedback!)

These videos were recorded on my 8 Megapixel Sony digital camera... not so fancy, but it did the job! As all work had to be carried out in the same room, I needed a dark space to record the videos, where there were minimum shadows and reflections. My "den" was made using tables and chairs with black curtains draped over them, and this is where I spent the next 3 days. The actual recording was of ink,  being dropped and squirted into jars and tanks of water using pipettes and syringes. The camera was attached to a tripod and placed very close to the jars, and in most cases, so close that you couldn't see the edges. It appears as if there is actually lots of water, instead of just a small amount in a jar. I shot the video in the close focus setting to minimise blurring. I also edited the video, which let me tell you felt like a complete nightmare, but I'm really pleased with the result! I got 98/100 so I must have done something right!
