Keeping it simple

Coat - Freds || Shoes - Asos || Dress - Asos

Hey, hey, hey. It's been over a month since either me or Irsa have blogged. There's so many reasons why, but the main one is that we just fell out of love with blogging for awhile. Instead of being fun, it became a chore. An awful way to describe it, but it is the only suitable word in the english language.
All that aside, I'm hoping that we get back into it again. My outfit is so simple, that it's bordering on boring, but not quite. Because, HEY, look at my shoes. I love them, I do, I do. If you're new to the blog, then I'll tell you now, I regularly profess my undying love towards inanimate and materialistic objects. Back to the shoes, I saw them on Asos months ago and thought, I want. Haha, but then I forgot about them, as they were still full price (£50) and didn't think I'd actually end up wearing them. The fashion gods were on my side though, because I saw them a few weeks ago and they were £25, plus it kept saying *low stock*, I took this as my cue and quickly purchased them. The white and black colour blocking totally sold them for me. I've really got into the whole black and white thing recently, and I think these would look good in summer too? We don't actually have summer in Manchester, just a very long spring, mixed with bits of Autumn and those horrific Winter-like days.

Enough about the weather, it's Mothering Sunday and I hope you're all enjoying it and spoiling your mothers rotten! I'm not entirely sure if it's just in the UK?

Some nights

Fun

Coat - Warehouse | Jeans - Miss Selfridge | Levi's T-Shirt - Gifted | Boots - Asos | Necklace - DP

You've probably noticed my hair is a bit different. I got my fringe cut again. I've had full fringe since my hair was long enough to have a fringe. Seriously, I've had once since I was about three, and then all the way through primary school! In high school it became a side fringe. Then last year I decided to grow it out, but as you can see, I'm clearly not complete unless I have a fringe. Hence, the reason it's back!
I had a day off today, from both Uni and work. Wahey! It was all quite surreal, not to have to rush around. Although, I am going to be quite a busy bee till February, and then work will be over and I can relax and concentrate on University. I feel like I'm getting behind on everything, especially all my reading! Ahh, the perils of doing an English degree.
I quite liked my outfit today. I think I'll be wearing it quite often from now on. I hardly ever wear t-shirts, but this Levi's t-shirt (a present from my Dad) is now on my list of favourite items. It's from the men's section and is nicely oversized. The jeans are a colour I'd never thought I'd ever purchase. They look brown in the pictures, but then in some lights they look like a muddy purple. If that makes sense?
Anyway, I quite like them! Looking back on my outfit choices early last year, I can tell my style has definitely changed. I hardly ever wear my maxi dresses anymore. I find myself heading in the direction of the trousers when I'm shopping now.
Hope you're all adjusting well to being back at school/college/uni/work etc.

Women and cats will do as they please

Robert A. Heinlein

Jumper - Asos

It's hard to believe it's only Wednesday! I feel like it should at least be Friday. I was at work for 7am today. It was awful getting up that early, and I managed it. Just.
I was so glad to get home! The good thing about a really early shift, is that the morning flies by, and before you know it, your shifts over! I didn't wear my cat jumper to work, but I put it on as soon as I got home. I didn't bother changing my work skirt though! I know it's not the most winning combination.
Work again tomorrow, and the day after, and the day after. I'll have time to relax on Sunday though!

Hey, happy Sunday! I know Irsa did a post already today, but it was technically from last night, and just got posted after midnight.
I'm writing this post whilst watching Elf! How amazing is that film?!
I threw on my largest and most comfiest jumper today, and I'm wearing a dreamcatcher necklace that Irsa gave me yesterday. I absolutely adore it, I love dreamcatchers and it's even more amazing because she added a chain to it! Keep an eye out, as it will feature a lot on blog!

Just the hint of warmth, the slanted light

Winter Sun - Molly Fisk

Coat - Warehouse

Blouse - Asos

Boots - Asos

It's Decemeber! Time flies doesn't it? I still remember New Years Day!
It was my mum's birthday day today and we went to lunch with my auntie and cousin to celebrate. This felt like the first Saturday I'd had time to relax. Plus, it was cold, but it was nice cold. If you get what I mean? The winter sun was out, hence the reason I look rather pale and ghostly! Sorry about that.
You can probably see that I'm wearing my new Asos blouse. I think I love it even more now. I'm also wearing my 'new' winter coat, I brought nearly two months ago now, but haven't had a chance to show you on the blog till now. It's from Warehouse and I love it! Winter coats are so hard for me to find, because I'm allergic to wool. Rather weird right? I don't think people realise how nearly all good winter coats have wool in! It was rather tedious trying to hunt for one really. I spotted this in the Warehouse concession in Selfridges and snapped it up, because it had no wool whatsoever and it is the most cosiest thing ever! It feels like I'm wearing a huge blanket. I know black can be a bit boring, but hey! Beggars can't be choosers!
Hope your all having a nice and relaxing Saturday!
Also, photographs are curtesy of brother. He's getting better don't you think?
